The Keeper
Series : Still At Home
"'The Keeper', or firstly known as 'The Gift' references my love of the plant and of the bush as a whole, the interaction our native animals have with all native flora and the way we value them as an entwined delicate system, filled with stories of fertility, territory, seasonal change.
It's also about the way we recognise these ancient places with our contemporary gaze, one that puts constant challenges and pressures and unrelenting demands on our precious remnant bushland, places that once gone, are unable to be easily reinvented".
The Banksia is a highly prized plant, delicate and robust at the same time, the generations of past years still present on the stems that grow the new season of blooms.
Aboriginal people use them for food, sweet treats, medicine, healing and firewood and they deeply value them for the way they supply the environment.
This plant has been a source of deep inspiration for me and where ever I have lived all thru my life, I have found myself surrounded by the bush nurturing these incredible plants.
Our print and photographic partners are locally owned and operated and support the highest quality product philosophy.
We use only high quality archival inks, some times known as Giclee prints and Canson fine art papers and canvas.
Custom sizes may be available in addition to sizes listed but it depends on the size of the original art work and the size of the digital file. Please enquire.
If you order your print on canvas, you will need to have it stretched and framed at your local picture framers. The surface has already been treated with a UV coating for extra protection. Your canvas will be rolled and posted to you.
A limited number are produced of between 20 and 200. These are produced on request. Each one is signed and numbered by hand. This is visible on the lower edge on the paper print, but is on the edge of the canvas and will not be visible when stretched.
Reproductions are NOT created in canvas at the same size as the original painting.
Each print is supplied with its own matching print certificate.
Prints over 50 cm in measurement are large format prints and are signed and come with a print certificate. Canvas prints are signed on the back .Smaller prints are not signed.
To facilitate stretching a boarder of plain canvas, or black canvas (on the Still @ Home series) is added to the image edge.
The paper prints measurements are given as image size and paper size in case you wish to have a larger space around your image before a mount window is laid on top.
